Oh my

Over a month "behind".

I say "behind" (yes, quotation marks, Sarah!), because I have been keeping up! I have a photo for every day, I just haven't uploaded them. Most of this is only having an *ancient* laptop at home, and having a sieve for a memory in terms of bringing the SD card to work.

So yes. One day, hopefully soon, when I can pinch some time on a borrowed laptop, there will be a bit of a gigantic upload.

Sorry for the delay.

Tuesday 13 September 2011

Slipping.

Woah, I suck!

Completely forgotten to upload twice! Though, to be fair, photos have been taken on the relevant days. I don't know when I'll get round to uploading them - I need to remember to being my camera to work, clearly. Internet has been funny at home.

It's for this reason I'm two episodes behind on Doctor Who and The Great British Bake Off (!!)

These things must be fixed soon.

43/365

Tonight I went to a murder mystery dinner party. I was Carmen Roller, the hairdresser's receptionist (part time accomplice to Antonio Sangria, who was a secret people smuggler. I went along with him because I was madly in love with him, wanted to spend more time with him, and got involved with the smuggling, which also supplemented my part time receptionist salary). This is Buster Gut, who is a computer whizzkid. He also managed to sneak £5 million from a London bank, and move to Costa Del Dosh with his "earnings". He was a computer programmer, so I suggested he wear a certain t-shirt..

A brilliant night - thankyou Buster and Nesta (Tables)!

Here is the sunset:

Also, here is something that will never be the same again!

The cakes seemed to go down rather well : ) I think I'll make them again!

40/365

I decided yesterday that I was going to bake cakes for the Agency. It's been far too long since I made cake with scales, and correct ingredients, and it makes me happy. Hopefully they will make the Agency happy too : )

They are Devil's Food Cupcakes, with rolled fondant toppings. I also used a bit of my new silver lustre dust : )

39/365

Last night's. 'Tis not very good. I was knackered. Oh well. Let's charge the camera up and start with renewed vigour today..

38/365

Yes, another cross stitch.. This one will take me much longer..

37/365

A pretty scarf:

36/365

Last day in Scotland : (

35/365

We went for a walk round the lodges we were staying in. There were some pretty fields.

34/365

We went to a maize maze. There were a *lot* of puns made. I may post them here later on..

33/365

On holiday, I rekindled my love of cross stitch. There go all my remaining free hours then.. This one is of some stargazer lillies, and I finished it in a day and a half.

32/365

Another trip to St.Andrews..

31/365

I am really proud of this picture. Long exposures, waterfalls and tripods ftw!

30/365

Second day on the second week of my holiday, and we took a trip to St.Andrews, revisiting the cafe/bar type place that we frequented when looking for universities, the Victoria.

29/365

On this day, I climed Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh. I did take some wide angle photos from the top, but it was foggy, so they're just a bit grey and depressing.

The return!

Normal service will resume presently..

Monday 5 September 2011

A thought.

I really regret not going for it.

Friday 26 August 2011

28/365

Today I surprised the rest of the flat with themed cake. They're performing in "Batman! Holy Spoof Musical Batstravaganza!"

Bat cake it was then!

Thursday 25 August 2011

Let's hope it gets better before the show tomorrow..

Wednesday 24 August 2011

Lots of photos of my whole day will appear at some point, but for now, here's my photo of the day:

Tuesday 23 August 2011

25/365

So today I got my freshly charged camera with some fancy lenses and packed my bag, only to discovered that I'd left my memory card in the laptop. Excellent.

We've been reunited now:

24/365, and Edinburgh so far

A back street in Edinburgh:

This is one from yesterday. It made me smile.

This is Chris:

This is a person flyering for an awesome Japanese show. Abe Toshimisu desu.

Relinquishing the camera:

And stealing it back:

..

A brilliant looping beatboxer:

Then we saw four shows, including the Les Mis one. After this, we went to a free ukulele caberet show. It was very very good. There were kazoos, and a lady with a ukulele hat:

I have other photos, but I'm knackered and going to find some floor space maintenant. Nighty night.

23/365

Strike that, I have found Internets!

This was taken yesterday at 15:27. I was then engaged until 01:44, when I discovered I could not get the Internet. Luckily this has been resolved, at least for today.

Hopefully the next few will make it up on time, but I can't promise anything :S

Quite ill. Got bored of sleeping, so did the other traditional lying-on-a-sofa activity - crochet. Here's one I made earlier:

SHINY THING ARRIVED!

So yeah, this is Dmitri. With Hannah.

This is Dmitri with his baby brother Casanova:

Gratuitous Dmitri:

Monday 15 August 2011

Another foodie one, not intentionally ; )

Tasty tasty tasty stripey avocado on the homemade bread as toast.

Also, I'm expecting an exciting photo tomorrow. It will be not-food-based*

(*but you can't quote me on this..)

Sunday 14 August 2011

16/365

A lot of my photos so far are to do with food / baking. Let's not break that trend then:

This blog also seems to be documenting the actual things I'm making. So, here's the whole loaf, and the cupcakes I made to use up the rest of the buttercream icing from yesterday:

Saturday 13 August 2011

15/365

Today I visited Cambridge strings. There are pretty things there:

Other images of note from today: a beautiful 5 stringed violin, a very photogenic Lira de Braccia-shaped viola, and the lower row of violins.

I also made cake:
