It has been *time* since I last posted. Sorry.
What I was alluding to has now become reality, and I have a job at Red Gate, quite possibly the most awesome software company in Cambridge.
I'm still waiting anxiously though - some of you will know why, some of you won't. It's probably easiest if you don't. It's hard enough to formulate my thoughts without everyone else's ideas (although I will most likely pester lots of you in the relatively near future if Things pan out..).
Alas.
I think it'll all be clear by Easter.
Hopefully.
Anywho, to work! These stats won't report themselves y'know.. yet ; )

Follow Up
So, my Rather Interesting e-mail *did* imply more food. Of the tasty Chinese variety. Oh fortune cookies, I love you. Though I would've preferred to pick up the one I originally wanted.. ...
This e-mail had another Rather Interesting follow up e-mail, that has implications for Valentine's Day. More fun times ahead! And possibly more food.
I'm not continuing my tour of the colleges, by the by (and as of now). I won't be defecting to Robinson in the near future. I can't commit until October!
Today I have metallic red nails. I like them very much, though I am slightly disappointed at how badly it's chipped for a "long lasting" nail varnish, that should have cost £7!
I have received many interesting parcels recently. Maybe I'll take some photos for you soon.

Friday was a Very Good Day indeed
and Thursday wasn't too bad either.
I continued my tour of the colleges, and am now waiting to hear back from Robinson, though I'll probably not go there either way. Probably.
I have a new* Saturday job : ) Doing something fun, that I want to do. Part of said job: keeping 'celli loved and in tune.
*well, a Saturday job. I realise I've not actually had one before
And I got a Rather Interesting e-mail on Friday. I think it implies more food.
Saturday, not so much. I started off in the same bouncy mood, including a brilliant trip to the sorting office, then it fell. Roughly at the same time as Baby. Didn't really pick up until the jazz concert. Which was rather good. And we got a mention ; )
Today, I hope it'll be back to Friday's mood. I'm not quite there yet, but between now and 5 I have Hannah, tea, nattering, sushi, and OotH.
BEETHOVEN 3.
(And some other brilliant pieces: Saint-Saens Cello Concert 1, and Rimsky-Korsakov's Russian Easter Festival Overture. But BEETHOVEN SYMPHONY 3!!!)
Muchly excited.

Survived.
Recently, I went for an interview.
It was quite scary.
Several of my friends have received a Giant run down of events, but they're not important now. Now I just have to forget that the whole thing happened. I mean, there's no way I could have got it! I can't afford to build my hopes up. It will be an awesome thing if I do then get the gig.
But hey, that's in April.
Joy.
So now, just pottering round, looking for other jobs and whatnot. Have started to crochet again - piano scarf here I come!
On a similar note (pun!), I've started playing piano again : ) I may have learned how to play "Time" from Inception. Zimmer is rather good. I also saw a brilliant version of "Dream is Collapsing" arranged for solo piano, and desparately wish I had the music / ears to work it out.

Things of different varieties.
Some are terrifying.
Some should not affect me as much as they do.
Some sound brilliant.
Some I really don't want to happen.
Some are addictive.
Some I should not be as hung up on.
Some I am jealous of.
Some I love.
Some I hate.
Some are dinosaurs.
In slow mo.
They're the best.

My days..
..are currently all about the harp, and learning Japanese. [edit: Oh, and the Inception soundtrack : ) "Dream is Collapsing" is wonderful]
I've spent close to 4 hours each evening playing, and I'd really like to see what I could achieve by devoting this much time to it every day. The reason for the intense sessions at the moment is because I'm playing at a drinks reception on Saturday evening, and need to get back up to scratch - last term was definitely a 'cello term!
Japanese is something I've wanted to learn since I was about 11, but I didn't really ever know where to start with it. Now I do. I have a plan to go over there in the near future as well. I've found that deadlines help me to actually get on and do the work. I tend towards procrastination.
I think that applies to the harp as well.
Maybe I'll go play now..

And yet again I find myself waiting for an e-mail..
So now I've had Thursday.
It was a day of fun, busy times, and completely free food (bar a snack I bought myself, but even then with a discount!).
And now I'm a little bit excited. Though I realised I like to focus on one thing at a time. I can multitask (a lot. It annoys some family members), but I prefer to focus on one thing, and block everything else out.
I also worked out that I tend to block out lots of things in day to day life, which is probably Not Good for my head in general. Alas, it's how I'm built.
Random thought: Snape can't half stalk!
Since finishing my degree, I thought I'd have a lot more time to catch up with people. In reality, I've been a lot harder to track down. Given the "free" time, I've filled it with things I enjoy and want to do. This has the knock-on effect of hardly ever being around. I should stop some of my things next term. Or get a job with different hours. Possibly one that's nearer. Or all of the above.
[I would have added "get the bus more", but I've finally worked out why so many people dislike the Citi 2. Waiting at the bus stop, where they're supposedly every 10 minutes, I see two Citi 1 busses go by, a Citi-2-shaped bus that is for 'Driver Training', and eventually, nearly 25 minutes later, an actual Citi 2. Gah!]
So yes, sorry to everyone who's not been able to get hold of me! I will endeavour to be more contactable in the new year. Even by e-mail, which I usually put down as "Ah, yes! I'll reply to that shortly"
'Tis rather quiet today, but my head is very loud. I want it to be quiet too please.
Where did the time go? I've just made a plan, a very rough diary, of the next week. I still don't really feel Christmassy. I haven't been around younger excitable children, or a Christmas tree, or lights, or our giant advent calendar. And I definitely miss that. I can't wait to go home. Cambridge is nice, don't get me wrong, but it's not the same.
I currently have the literal video version of the Harry Potter 7 trailer in my head. It's awesome, but damn catchy, so be warned!

Monday.
I don't really like Mondays, even though now it doesn't mean: up early for shower, 9am geology practical, 10am compsci lecture, 11am geology lecture, 12pm compsci lecture, break, 2pm geology supervision, break, 4pm maths supervision, dinner, work, bar. Although I do kind of miss it. It feels like years ago, and it was. I don't know where the past three years and a term went.
This Monday could be interesting. For at least two reasons.
But first: sleep! Wonderful, wonderful sleep.
